Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This page explains what data The Bench Test collects when you visit, and how it's used. We keep this simple on purpose: we don't run user accounts, we don't sell personal data, and we collect the minimum needed to understand which posts are useful and to keep affiliate links working.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic — which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from, and general device/browser info. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. This data is aggregated and not used by us to identify individual visitors. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site (including to Amazon) are affiliate links — see our affiliate disclosure. When you click one, the destination retailer (e.g. Amazon) may set its own cookies to track the referral for commission purposes. That tracking is controlled by the retailer, not by us — we don't receive any personal information about you from it, only aggregate reporting on clicks and resulting sales.
What we don't do
- We don't require account creation or collect login credentials.
- We don't sell or rent personal data to third parties.
- We don't run retargeting or ad-network pixels beyond the analytics described above.
Changes to this policy
If how we collect or use data changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
